Cotton prices down in north India

Abohar – Cotton prices declined in north India Monday on higher arrivals. Demand reported to normal.

Local spinners were buying to cover their immediate demand, beside this a leading exporter was also in the market to build stocks.

Arrival of new cotton in north India stood at 33,000 bales. While total arrivals in the counrty reported at 170,000 bales.

Ready delivery RG cotton traded at Rs 3,400-3,435 per maund in Punjab, Rs 3,345-3,360 per maund in Haryana and Rs 3,345-3,355 per maund in Rajasthan.
