Mumbai – Cotton quoted stable in South India Thursday amid slow demand. Millers were reluctant to buy cotton due to tight liquidity and financial year closing.
In Adilabad, new cotton traded at Rs 32,000-32,800 per candy. In Guntur, 31/32 MM cotton offered at Rs 33,500- 34,500 a candy. In Warangal, 30/31 MM cotton quoted at Rs 33,000- 33,500 a candy.
In Karnataka, Jaidhar 22+ MM cotton traded at Rs 29,500- 30,500 a candy, 29 MM quoted at Rs 32,000- 32,500 a candy and 30 MM at Rs 32,500-33,000 per candy.
