Cotton remained unchanged as demand was limited at the higher level. Kapas or raw cotton traded flat on weak ginning demand. Traders said that after the cotton price rise, demand from domestic mills had declined, restricting the price on Friday. Gujarat Sankar-6 cotton stood at ₹37,300-37,500 per candy of 356 kg.

The country saw 30,000 bales of 170 kg each arrive with Gujarat accounting for 13,000 bales. Kapas traded at ₹980-1,040 per 20 kg and gin delivery kapas was at ₹1,050-1,080. Cottonseed remained steady at ₹525-550 per 20 kg.
